QuizoSwipe ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by IITiansFunda, is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application QuizoSwipe (the "App"), available on Google Play Store under the package name com.quizo.swipe.

By downloading, installing, or using QuizoSwipe, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Profile Information: Display name, username/handle, and profile avatar image that you choose to set up.
• Quiz Content: Quizzes, questions, and answers you create using the in-app quiz creator.
• Comments & Interactions: Comments, reactions, emoji responses, and GIF selections you post on quiz cards.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: Quiz answers, completion history, XP earned, streak data, bookmarked quizzes, liked quizzes, and hidden quiz preferences.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for app functionality.
• Language Preferences: Your selected quiz languages (e.g., English, Hindi, Spanish).
• Subscription Data: Creator channels you subscribe to for quiz notifications.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect precise GPS location data.
• We do not access your phone contacts, call logs, or SMS messages.
• We do not collect financial or payment information.
• We do not use advertising tracking identifiers or serve third-party ads.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide Core Services: Deliver personalized quiz feeds, track your progress, maintain streaks, and calculate XP/leaderboard rankings.
• Personalize Experience: Filter quizzes by your selected languages and show content from creators you follow.
• Enable Social Features: Display comments, reactions, creator profiles, and leaderboard rankings.
• Send Notifications: Deliver quiz drop alerts, streak reminders, and official announcements from creators you subscribe to.
• Improve the App: Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve quiz quality, app performance, and user experience.
• Ensure Safety: Detect and prevent abuse, spam, or inappropriate content in user-generated quizzes and comments.

3. Data Storage & Security

• Local Storage: Your quiz history, bookmarks, and profile preferences are cached locally on your device using AsyncStorage for fast offline access.
• Cloud Sync: Your profile, quizzes, and interactions are synchronized to Google Cloud Firestore in real-time for cross-device consistency and leaderboard functionality.
• Image Storage: Profile avatars and quiz media are stored in Firebase Storage with secure access tokens.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Public Content: Your display name, handle, avatar, comments, and quiz creations are visible to other users as part of the social features of the App.
• Service Providers: We use Google Firebase services to host and operate the App. Google processes data according to their Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or legal process (e.g., court order or subpoena).
• Safety: We may share information to protect the rights, property, or safety of QuizoSwipe, our users, or the public.

5. Data Retention

• We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
• If you delete your account (available in Settings), we will delete your personal data from our servers within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
• Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

6. Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access & Edit: You can view and edit your profile information (name, handle, avatar) directly in the App's Settings.
• Delete Account: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings screen. This action is irreversible.
• Mute Creators: You can hide content from specific quiz creators using the "Don't Recommend" feature.
• Hide Content: You can hide individual quizzes from your feed.
• Language Preferences: You can change your quiz language preferences at any time from your Profile.
• Notification Control: You can manage push notification preferences through your device's system settings.

7. Children's Privacy

QuizoSwipe is designed for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete such data from our servers.

8. International Users

QuizoSwipe is operated from India. If you are accessing the App from outside India, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in India and on Google Cloud servers located globally. By using the App, you consent to such transfer and processing.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, and port your personal data. 9. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase: Cloud Firestore (database), Firebase Storage (media), Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications).

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing the use of your data. We encourage you to review them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
